Canon EOS 6D: le full-frame reste cher

Canon a dévoilé il y a quelques semaines un nouveau reflex numérique, l'EOS 6D, doté d'un capteur plein format pour environ 2000 euros.

Pour rappel, la plupart des reflex numériques disposent d'un capteur CCD d'une surface inférieure à 24x36mm, et ce pour des raisons de coûts: déplacer le capteur un peu en arrière de l'appareil rend le boitier plus gros donc plus cher !

C'est pour cela que les reflex numériques "augmentent" nécessairement la distance focale de vos objectifs d'un facteur non négligeable: de 60% environ sur un EOS 350D par exemple. On ne peut donc pas réutiliser de la même façon en numérique les objectifs EOS que l'on avait en argentique.

Mais revenons à l'EOS 6D full-frame donc. Le nouveau joujou de Canon dispose d'un capteur de 20 Mégapixels (ça va être l'occasion de se racheter un PC ...), d'un écran fixe, d'un récepteur GPS, d'une puce Wi-Fi (ce qui ravira les utilisateurs de téléphones Android et autres tablettes) mais est livré sans flash.

Ce boitier Canon est donc beaucoup moins cher que les autres full-frame de la marque Canon, mais pour un particulier, ça reste quand même assez cher si on achète ensuite quelques accessoires comme un grip, un flash ...

Adobe Flash Player 9 sous Debian Etch

L'installation d'Adobe Flash Player version 9 est plus simple que par le passé sous Linux.

On se rend sur la page d'Adobe: http://www.adobe.com/fr/products/flashplayer/ puis on clique sur http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer.

Le fichier téléchargé est une archive: install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz.

Après s'être loggé en root:

gzip -d install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz
tar -xvf install_flash_player_9_linux.tar

ou

tar -xzf install_flash_player_9_linux.tar.gz

Le contenu du répertoire décompressé est le suivant:
flashplayer-installer
libflashplayer.so

On lance alors le script Shell d'installation ./flashplayer-installer

Windows needs more memory than Linux (OLPC)

After positions against the OLPC project (One Laptop Per Child), Microsoft and Bill Gates seem to be interested in.

Recently, a memory flash slot has been added to the OLPC machines, so they can operate under Windows.

In the beginning, the OLPC machines were designed to run under Linux Fedora by Red Hat, but Nicholas Negroponte (who is a friend of Bill Gates) said a memory flash slot was added to allow 512M of memory to be added !

The OLPC project leader also precises than the Linux box do not need all that memory.

So, it seems than both the OLPC project objectives and Microsoft's ones have changed ...

Microsoft, who has won the battle of the software for PC twenty years ago, probably does not want to be out of the OLPC one.
